Deborah Weed has never just written stories. She’s created movements. From the moment she staged The Sticky Bun Bandits in her youth, Deborah has been producing musicals and interactive shows that spark imaginations and change lives. Her passion? Helping people—especially children—reclaim their power, creativity, and joy.

A former Director of Development for Citibank and the marketing force behind a $26 million pavilion for KIA Motors alongside Disney and Universal consultants, Deborah’s life took a dramatic turn when a devastating misdiagnosis left her bedridden for three years. But that’s where her next act began. A simple 1943 copper penny—worth a million dollars—became a symbol of rediscovered value. If a “worthless” penny could be priceless, maybe we all have hidden worth just waiting to be seen.

From that moment, Deborah’s mission was clear: to ignite self-worth through storytelling. She wrote and produced The Luckiest Penny, an award-winning interactive musical performed in New York and Florida that lit up young audiences with laughter and meaning. She founded the Self-Worth Initiative and launched the Quill Power Movement to help girls stand tall in a world that often tries to shrink them.

And now, she’s going all in with her biggest dream yet:
 Paisley the Musical.
 Inspired by her award winning children’s book Paisley’s Last Quill, this is no ordinary kids’ musical. With the theatrical grandeur of The Lion King and the emotional power of Wicked, Paisley the Musical dares to ask: What happens when a little porcupine gives away the very quills that protect her... just to fit in?
